Taryn ,Perry, Jazz and Miah (the dog!) and the Ocean Free and Ocean Freedom family celebrate their 25th year of operations!

This company was borne from a desire to give travellers the best and most personal, boutique-style, customer-oriented reef experience possible while ensuring a high respect for safety. Specialising in the youth, family and active retiree Western market – the company continues to be passionately operated, for 25 years.  

Perry and Taryn maintain their  promise to give guests the best possible experience in any conditions that may present on the day. It is of utmost importance to them, that their crew also share this passion for customer care, safety, the reef and truly connecting with the guests to offer a wonderful everlasting experience of the Great Barrier Reef! They feel they have maintained their promise throughout the years and still regard, without any doubt,  their well loved crew as their best asset!

The company is also passionate about sustainable practices, protecting the amazing Great Barrier Reef, and educating guests on the wonders of this international icon, and has been an ADVANCED Eco certified product since 2009. They are also committed to continued stewardship of their reef sites and are involved in the Eye on the Reef and Photo Enhancement project and an exciting Coral Nurture programme since 2019 and assisting GBRMPA in surveying permitted reef areas and permitted pest corallivore removal.
