You will be required to fill out a dive medical questionnaire on the day of travel (supplied on the boat) to ensure that you have no medical issues or taking medication that may be contradictory to diving. Please note this is particularly important if your medical status or medication has changed since your dive certification. Certain medical conditions and / or medication may prevent you from diving. QLD has very high safety standards that all reef operators must adhere to. Please let us know by e-mailing us on info@oceanfree.com.au if you are on any medication (apart from contraceptive pill) or have any (past or present) medical conditions as we can advise what medical clearance from a diving Dr may be required. This avoids disappointment on the day.

Green Island sits just on the horizon from Cairns. It’s 26 NM offshore but a world away from the tropical port city. The island itself is unique, being the only Great Barrier Reef sand cay to have tropical rainforest. It was formed over 6,000 years ago and has a rich and vibrant ecological and cultural history. The traditional name for Green Island is Wunyami, which means ‘Place of Spirits’ and its Traditional Owners are the Guru-Gulu Gungganji people. With 4 and 1/2 hours to spend between reef and island you can do up to 2 dives in the day and still have time to explore Green Island during your Ocean Free day, with tender transfers to and from the beach.
Green Island scuba diving offers something for everyone, with its colourful coral gardens and diverse array of marine life. With Ocean Free you get more than just a Green Island scuba dive; you get personal care, exclusivity, great food and real sailing, all in a seamless and unforgettable day.
